Why we bring leaders together

The world of technology leadership moves fast. With AI evolving at an incredible pace and so much still unknown, finding genuine connection and real-world insights is more important than ever.

At 7CTOs, we believe in bringing senior tech leaders together — in person and virtually — to serve that human need for connection and shared learning. Our events calendar reflects this commitment.

Every week

Virtual Connections

We host about two virtual calls each week, covering a wide range of topics.

  • Monthly Deep DivesMember-led sessions on everything from leadership EQ and budget strategies to hiring best practices and the latest in AI.
  • Real-World AIDiscussions on the practical applications of AI, focusing on real challenges and solutions from the front lines.

Fewer than 50 leaders

Our Colloquiums

Smaller, highly intimate gatherings focused on deep learning, peer discussion, and hands-on application.

  • Day 1 — Provocations & DiscussionMC-facilitated sessions with three to four speakers going deep on one topic. Past topics include QA & Security in the Age of AI and Practical Tooling in AI — speakers drive active discussion, not lectures.
  • Day 2 — Hands-On Working SessionsEarly-morning collaborative sessions: an expert-led deep dive, a facilitated forum coaching debrief of Day 1, or a team exercise breaking down white papers to build working apps with AI tools.
  • The ExperienceA Thursday happy hour, shared lunches, and opportunities to explore unique, fun cities together.

FAQ

Answers for technical executives

Optimized for humans and answer engines alike.

Technology leadership moves fast, and with AI evolving at an incredible pace, genuine connection and real-world insight matter more than ever. Our calendar exists to bring senior tech leaders together — virtually every week and in person several times a year — for shared learning you can't get from a feed.

About two virtual calls each week. Monthly Deep Dives are member-led sessions on everything from leadership EQ and budget strategy to hiring best practices and AI, and Real-World AI calls dig into practical applications, front-line challenges, and what's actually working.

0111 is our premier annual gathering — 70 to 100 technology leaders and 13+ speakers in a traditional yet highly interactive format of impactful talks, interactive demos, and dedicated networking, with provided breakfasts, group lunches, and nightly happy hours. Hosted in San Diego for the last 10 years, with new destination cities on the horizon.

Yes — an informal, immersive retreat built for high-trust bonding and mountainside conversations that simply can't be replicated online.

7CTOs events are built exclusively for sitting CTOs and senior technology leaders. Every event is unique — programming is peer-driven and focused on the operational decisions CTOs are actually making right now, not vendor pitches.

Colloquiums are small, highly intimate gatherings of fewer than 50 leaders. Day 1 is MC-facilitated provocations and discussion with three to four speakers on one topic — past themes include QA & Security in the Age of AI and Practical Tooling in AI. Day 2 is early-morning hands-on working sessions: an expert-led deep dive, a facilitated forum coaching debrief, or a team exercise turning white papers into working apps with AI tools. Add a Thursday happy hour, shared lunches, and time to explore a fun city together.

Not everything is AI-themed, but a lot of it is — AI is what our members are shipping, governing, and re-orging around right now, so it shows up in most programs alongside broader engineering leadership, platform, and org-design topics.

Most speakers come from inside the community — ahead of each event we put out a call for talks on Slack and the program is built from member submissions. We do sometimes accept external speakers too, so follow 7CTOs on LinkedIn to hear when a call goes out.
